The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations received a report on Sunday of an incident 30 nautical miles southwest of Yemen's Hodeidah, where a cargo vessel triggered a distress alert stating it was under attack by unknown armed assailants TurkicWorld reports via arabnews.
Authorities were investigating, and vessels were advised to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity to UKMTO, the agency said.
