US officials reportedly frustrated over María Corina Machado’s Venezuela return plan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 27. Senior US officials have reportedly expressed frustration over Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado’s attempts to return to Venezuela, according to a White House official cited by Reuters.

TurkicWorld reports that the official said Machado has recently reached out to several parts of the US administration, including the White House, the State Department, and members of Congress, seeking support for her return to Venezuela.

She is said to have made the request in the aftermath of devastating earthquakes in the country, aiming to return during a period of heightened humanitarian concern.

According to the White House source, these outreach efforts have caused dissatisfaction among some senior US officials. No official public statement has been issued by the US government regarding the matter.
