BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 8. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran will respond within the next few days to a US proposal aimed at ending the war between the two countries.
“The negotiation process is ongoing, and messages are being exchanged through mediators,” Araghchi said, according to Iran’s semiofficial Tasnim News Agency.
He said Iran had already presented its own proposal, which Tehran has referred to as the “seven-day plan”, and had also received Washington’s views.
“We are currently reviewing the American perspectives, and I believe we will provide our response within the next few days,” Araghchi said.
His remarks indicate that indirect contacts between Tehran and Washington are continuing through mediators as the two sides consider proposals for ending the conflict.
