BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 27. Lebanon’s Foreign Minister Youssef Raggi has said he received a phone call from Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, who congratulated Lebanon on signing a US-mediated framework agreement with Israel.
TurkicWorld reports that in a statement posted on X, Raggi said Safadi expressed hope that the agreement would serve Lebanon’s interests, including strengthening its sovereignty and restoring stability in the country.
Raggi added that he thanked Jordan for its continued support for Lebanon, stressing that the agreement represents “a victory for diplomacy” and reinforces the authority of the state and its institutions above all other actors.
The framework agreement is part of ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions and stabilising relations along the Lebanon–Israel frontier.
