BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 25. Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed condolences and solidarity with Venezuela following the deadly earthquakes that struck the country.
TurkicWorld reports that in a Kremlin statement, Putin said Russia extends its “feelings of solidarity and support to the friendly Venezuelan people during this difficult time.”
The remarks come as emergency teams continue search-and-rescue operations in areas hit hardest by the twin earthquakes, which have killed at least 164 people and injured nearly 1,000 others, with many still trapped under rubble.
International assistance efforts are intensifying as countries and organizations coordinate humanitarian support for Venezuela.
