BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 16. Security measures were intensified in London following large-scale protest demonstrations across the city.
TurkicWorld reports that tens of thousands of people marched through central London as part of two separate demonstrations.
According to reports, one of the demonstrations was a pro-Palestinian rally organized following Nakba Day, while the other was a far-right protest organized by Tommy Robinson.
Authorities deployed 4,000 police officers across the British capital as part of security measures. Additional units from outside London were also brought in to support operations.
According to the Metropolitan Police, armored vehicles, mounted police units, police dogs, drones, and helicopters were used to maintain order and manage the demonstrations.
Police officials described the operation as one of the largest public order operations conducted in recent years.
