Russia and China discussed the possibility of increasing electricity supplies to China, taking into account growing consumption in the Russia`s Far East, the Russian Ministry of Energy said in a statement following a meeting of the Russian-Chinese working group on cooperation in the field of electric power and renewable energy sources, TurkicWorld reports.
In addition to issues of electricity trade, during the meeting the participants discussed preparations for the upcoming Russian-Chinese intergovernmental commission, as well as the recognition of certification systems for the origin of electrical energy - “green” certificates.
"Organizing the process of issuing and applying “green” certificates of origin for electricity in Russia and China will contribute to further mutual recognition of electricity certification systems between our countries," the Russian Ministry of Energy noted.
