Kyrgyz nationals precautioned to refrain from visiting Russia

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 5. Citizens of Kyrgyzstan are strongly discouraged from traveling to Russia unless absolutely necessary, TurkicWorld reports.

"The Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Russia advises Kyrgyz citizens who lack valid reasons to enter Russia to temporarily abstain from traveling to its territory until these measures are lifted, as a result of the ongoing implementation of additional security measures and the more stringent control over the entry of foreign citizens at the State Border of Russia," the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.

Russia is implementing stricter measures regarding its migration policy. On July 31, a bill was introduced to the Russian State Duma suggesting a prohibition on migrant workers in the medical and pharmaceutical fields, as well as in school and preschool education. State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin proposed the development of laws to discourage low-skilled migrant workers from bringing their families to Russia.
