The leftist New Popular Front is leading in the second round of France’s early parliamentary election and may to secure between 175 and 205 seats in the National Assembly, according to preliminary results reported by BFMTV, TurkicWorld reports.
The presidential Together For the Republic coalition is expected to win between 150 and 175 seats, while the right-wing National Rally may obtain between 115 and 150 seats.
BFMTV notes that none of the political blocs have achieved the absolute majority of 289 seats required in the lower house of parliament to form a government independently.
