Western Azerbaijan Community slags off Macron's lousy remarks

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 26. In reference to the false and irresponsible claims made by French President Emmanuel Macron at the United Nations General Assembly on September 25th, addressing "territorial tensions" and Azerbaijan's purported "pressure" on Armenia, the Western Azerbaijan Community strongly disagrees," the community said in a statement, , TurkicWorld reports

"The leader of France exhibits a notable inconsistency, given the nation's historical support for the prolonged occupation of Azerbaijani territories by Armenia, its disregard for the displacement of a million Azerbaijanis from Armenia and the occupied regions, and its prior resistance to initiatives aimed at peaceful conflict resolution, to now advocate for peace and adherence to international law. It is worth noting that the UN General Assembly, currently a stage for Macron's apparent duplicity, in 2008 observed France's efforts to obstruct the passage of a suitable resolution aimed at addressing the conflict.

It is clear that France, pursuing its imperialist interests, is dissatisfied with Azerbaijan's resolution of the conflict and its restoration of sovereignty and territorial integrity in alignment with international law. As it constrains its capacity to engage in the region. Macron is providing Armenia with substantial military support to rekindle the conflict in the area, attempting to foster the perception of underlying tensions in the region. Emmanuel Macron's disparagement of Azerbaijan similarly fulfills that objective.

We urge France to reconsider its detrimental intentions, to cease the provision of arms to Armenia, to refrain from meddling in regional matters, and to facilitate the pursuit of peace. Concurrently, we urge Armenia to refrain from being utilized as an instrument in France's strategic maneuvers, to halt the extensive arms initiative, to prioritize the attainment of peace with Azerbaijan, and to foster an environment conducive to the repatriation of Azerbaijanis displaced from Armenia," the statement reads.
