Uzbek FM completes his visit to Hungary

Uza. Uzbekistan delegation led by the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov visited Hungary on March 27-28.

The Minister met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó, the Minister of Economic Development Márton Nagy, Chairman and CEO of OTP Bank Group Sándor Csányi, Chief Executive Officer at Gedeon Richter Gabor Orban, as well as with the OTS Secretary General, Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral ties, as well as interaction within the framework of multilateral structures, primarily in trade, economic and investment spheres. The course of implementation of the agreements reached in the course of contacts at various levels was considered. Views were exchanged on the schedule of the upcoming joint events.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan took part in the opening ceremony of a business forum organized jointly with the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency, which was represented by more than 60 leading companies from the two countries.

The Uzbekistan delegation also visited the free economic zone of Budapest and got acquainted with the business environment created there.

The most important part of the visit of the Uzbekistan delegation to Hungary was the opening ceremony of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Budapest.
