Uzbekistan – Korea: Labor relations will reach a new stage

Uza. Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva met with the Minister of Employment and Labour of the Republic of Korea, Lee Jung Sik.

The importance of expanding organized labor migration, ensuring the protection of labor and social rights, and implementing joint projects to involve migrants in business and labor activities was noted.

Considering the annual entry of 600 thousand young people into the labor market of Uzbekistan, an exchange of views took place on the implementation of joint projects for their education and targeted vocational training.

At the same time, particular emphasis was placed on the activities of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), which provides assistance in training professions and increasing the competitiveness of workers in the labor market.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on developing an action plan for the phased implementation of this memorandum, in particular, conducting joint training and organizing the exchange of statistical information and specialists.
