BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 25. A total of 75,474 tourists visited Türkiye from Azerbaijan in May 2024, marking a 30.39 percent increase compared to the same month in 2023, TurkicWorld reports, referring to the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
Azerbaijani citizens accounted for 1.47 percent of the total number of foreign visitors to Türkiye in May 2024.
From January through May 2024, 334,215 Azerbaijani tourists visited Türkiye, which is 31.64 percent less than the same period in 2023.
The share of Azerbaijani citizens in the total number of foreign visitors to Türkiye during this period was 2.12 percent.
According to the Ministry, in May 2024, Türkiye welcomed 5,130,119 tourists, representing a 14 percent increase compared to May 2023.
In the first six months of this year, over 15,784,213 tourists visited Türkiye, a 12.47 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023.
