Tajikistan, Italy introduce visa-free regime for diplomatic passport holders

DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, September 21. The visa-free regime between Tajikistan and Italy for holders of diplomatic passports will come into force on October 14, TurkicWorld reports, referring to Tajikistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the information, the agreement will come into force after the completion of the necessary internal procedures by both countries.

Citizens of Tajikistan and Italy holding diplomatic passports will be able to enter and stay in the territory of these countries without visas for up to 90 days within 180 days.

To note, the agreement on the abolition of the visa regime for diplomatic representatives was signed between the governments of the two countries on April 23, 2024, during the official visit of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to Italy.
