Erdogan to meet Ukrainian, Russian delegations before talks in Turkey

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will meet with Ukrainian and Russian delegations ahead of their meeting in Istanbul, the Turkish leader said in a statement late Monday, TurkicWorld reports citing Hurriyet Daily News.

Speaking after a Cabinet meeting at Ankara's Presidential Complex, Erdogan also said that talks with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy is "on the right track" with regards to Turkey's efforts to bring a solution to the situation in Ukraine.

Erdogan has repeatedly said that Turkey will not abandon its relations with Russia or Ukraine, underlining that Ankara's ability to speak to both sides is an asset.

Ukrainian negotiator David Arakhamia announced Sunday that the next round of one-on-one talks between Kyiv and Moscow will take place in Turkey on March 28-30.

Arakhamia made the announcement on social media.
