Uzbekistan, Russia's Wildberries sign memorandum of co-op

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 21. Uzbekistan's Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade and Wildberries (one of the largest online platforms in CIS countries) signed a memorandum of cooperation, the ministry told TurkicWorld

The document outlines key areas of collaboration, including the development of local entrepreneurship, enhancing the export potential of local products via the Wildberries platform, supporting women’s entrepreneurship, and organizing educational events, training, and seminars for entrepreneurs. It also focuses on removing barriers to the growth of e-commerce.

The signing of the memorandum highlights the parties' commitment to creating more favorable conditions for online business in Uzbekistan, expanding opportunities for manufacturers and exporters to promote their products globally through online platforms.

Wildberries&Russ was formed through the merger of two market leaders (the IT company Wildberries and outdoor advertising operator Russ) to jointly create an advanced digital trading platform and provide tools for small and medium-sized business development. The merged company currently operates in Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, as well as China, from which goods are imported.
