BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 24. Russia is ready to keep providing its platform for bilateral negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said during a weekly briefing in Moscow today, TurkicWorld reports.
She noted that Moscow pledged to assist in every possible way in achieving peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, adding that the volumes and forms of such assistance should be acceptable to all parties.
"We consider the conclusion of a balanced agreement between our two allies as the basis of the architecture of peace," Zakharova also said.
Besides, she pointed out that the fate and future of the South Caucasus should be determined exclusively by the countries of the region and neighboring partners.
"No one from outside will bring prosperity there; this has already been proven for centuries," the official added.
