Before the grand procession unfolded, the soul-stirring melody of the Republic of Azerbaijan's anthem rose like a phoenix, filling the air with its vibrant spirit.
The marches are taking place along five routes:
- Heydar Aliyev Palace - Nizami Cinema Center - Oilmen Avenue - Azadliq Square - Amay Shopping Center;
- Alley of Martyrs - Flame Towers Complex - Icherisheher metro station - Fortress Gates - Azerbaijan State Puppet Theater - Azneft Circle - Bahram Gur monument;
- Musabekov Park - Abdurrahman bey Hagverdiyev Street - Huseyn Javid Avenue - Parliament Avenue - Alley of Martyrs;
- Olympic Star Sports and Entertainment Center - Samad Vurgun Street - Officers Park - Baku State Circus - Heydar Aliyev Palace - Nasimi Monument - Oilmen Avenue;
- Nariman Narimanov monument - Central Park - National Drama Theater - Winter Park - Heydar Aliyev Palace - Central Bank of Azerbaijan - "28 Mall" shopping center.
Moreover, the rhythmic cadence of military marches, accompanied by the harmonious symphony of military bands, weaves through the streets of the nation's Ganja, Khankendi, Shusha, and Lachin cities.
To note, Shusha, a city of great spiritual significance for the Azerbaijani people, was liberated from Armenian occupation during the 44-day Second Karabakh War on November 8, 2020. The liberation of the city of Shusha was the culmination of the 44-day Karabakh War. According to the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated December 3, 2020, November 8 is annually celebrated as Victory Day in the country.
