Hundreds of in-and-out media to shed light on Formula 1 in Azerbaijan's Baku

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 13. The capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, is set to roll out the red carpet for the crème de la crème of sporting events for the eighth time from September 13 through 15, with around 300 media representatives ready to capture every moment, the Baku City Circuit Operating Company told TurkicWorld

"It is expected that this year the global audience of the Baku competition will reach a record level.

Around 200 of the aforementioned media representatives are international reporters. Global media giants Sky Sports, Motorsport, Canal+, Netflix, The Sun, and others will broadcast the exciting Baku races to the world for three days.

The media center with a capacity of up to 450 people, set up by the promoter company Baku City Circuit, is currently at the disposal of reporters. The center, which began its work on Wednesday of the race week, offers representatives of local and foreign media the services of the Media Accreditation Center and Media Center. The center also hosts team press conferences. Reporters can send their inquiries to the reception desks of the center.

The media center was established in compliance with the requirements of the International Automobile Federation.

The 2023 Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix was watched by 90 million people on television and social media platforms. According to official statistics provided by Formula 1, this figure amounted to 59 million in 2022. "Taking into account the record for the total number of fans and tourists, as well as ticket sales, it is not excluded that this year's Azerbaijan Grand Prix will break another record for the number of spectators in the world," the statement of Baku City Circuit reads.
