BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 5. The Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation will support a mosque restoration in Azerbaijan's liberated Gochahmadli village of the Fuzuli district, TurkicWorld reports.
The issue is envisioned in the memorandum of understanding on the protection and restoration of historical and cultural monuments located in the territory of Azerbaijan signed between the foundation's President Aktoty Raimkulova and Head of the Azerbaijani State Service for the Protection, Development, and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture Sabina Hajiyeva.
The memorandum signing is intended to preserve, restore, and conserve historical and cultural monuments in Azerbaijan that are under state protection.
It also includes organizing training in this area and further expanding cooperation in the field of cultural heritage.
During the signing ceremony, the development of relations with fraternal Turkic nations in all areas, particularly the strengthening of cultural ties, was highly praised.
It was noted that the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation plays an active role in this regard, contributing to the preservation, promotion, and popularization of Turkic peoples' culture and heritage.
Azerbaijan's strong support for this field was also emphasized, and there was confidence expressed that cooperation will deepen in the coming years.
At the event, participants exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
