Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Expands Information Cooperation with Uzbekistan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 28. On August 28, 2026, as part of the working visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Professor Aktoty Raimkulova, met with Mr. Abdusaid Kuchimov, Director General of the Uzbekistan National News Agency (UZA).

During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for cooperation between the Foundation and the Uzbekistan National News Agency, with particular emphasis on providing information support for international cultural and humanitarian projects and initiatives aimed at preserving, studying and promoting the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples.

Professor Aktoty Raimkulova provided information on the Foundation’s key projects and initiatives, including the “Multilingual Catalogue of Turkic Cultural Heritage", the “Anthology of Turkic Folklore", the TurkicHeritage digital platform, restoration, publishing, research and educational projects, as well as events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress.

Mr. Abdusaid Kuchimov, Director General of the Uzbekistan National News Agency, highly appreciated the activities of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation and its efforts to preserve and promote the shared cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples, expressing interest in providing information support for the Foundation’s projects and initiatives.

The sides also exchanged views on the implementation of joint media projects and the preparation of thematic publications, interviews, photographs and video materials aimed at promoting the culture and heritage of the Turkic world more widely in the international media landscape.

During the meeting, the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation and the Uzbekistan National News Agency was also considered.
