Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan mull over financial cooperation

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, July 5. Minister of Finance of Kyrgyzstan Almaz Baketaev and Minister of Finance of Tajikistan Fayziddin Kahhorzoda discussed cooperation issues, TurkicWorld reports.

According to the Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan, the meeting took place as part of the session of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank (WB) constituency groups.

The parties discussed opportunities for strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation, ways to effectively utilize existing resources, and the potential to expand cooperation in the financial sphere between the ministries.

Following the meeting, the ministers expressed their readiness to continue active collaboration in further strengthening bilateral cooperation and developing joint initiatives aimed at improving economic conditions and financial stability in the regions.

The inaugural session of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank (WB) constituency groups was held in Tajikistan. The event took place from July 1 to 3. The session was attended by the top officials of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank (WB), ministries of finance, and central banks of Switzerland, Azerbaijan, Poland, Serbia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan.
