BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 31. The issuance of special entry visas for COP29 is ongoing, head of the ASAN Visa department of the State Agency for Public Services and Social Innovations (ASAN) Ismail Rasulzade said at a media briefing on the results of a media tour of Heydar Aliyev International Airport in preparation for COP29, TurkicWorld reports.
"Registered participants need to use the official e-visa portal to apply for the Special COP29 Visa. Once the completed online application is submitted, the visa processing should be finalized within 3 working days," he said.
Rasulzade also reminded that work began in January 2024 to prepare the portal, which operates through the ASAN Visa system managed by the State Agency.
"During the past period, integration has been established between the COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, and the relevant UN agency—the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Secretariat.
Considering that tens of thousands of participants from nearly 200 countries will attend COP29, the portal is available in multiple languages, including English, German, French, Spanish, Hebrew, Italian, Russian, Arabic, Persian, Chinese, and Korean," he added.
