Chairman of the Majilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Yerlan Koshanov visited the House-Museum of writer Chyngyz Aitmatov within the framework of his official visit to Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament reported.
The guests were met by the writer's son Eldar Aitmatov and familiarized them with the museum. He presented detailed information about the life and work of Chyngyz Aitmatov, showed manuscripts and personal belongings of the writer, photos, awards and gifts received by him. Yerlan Koshanov left a note in the wish book.
Within the framework of the official visit of Yerlan Koshanov, a number of meetings at the highest level are planned. Kyrgyz Parliament Speaker Nurlanbek Shakiev and Chairman of the Majilis of Kazakhstan Yerlan Koshanov are expected to hold talks in the narrow and expanded formats.
In addition, the sides will participate in the meeting of the Interparliamentary Council on cooperation between the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
