BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 12. Iraqi President Nizar Amidi has condemned attacks against Saudi Arabia and stressed that Iraq will not allow its territory or airspace to be used as a platform for attacks against neighbouring countries.
In a statement, Amidi said Iraq would not accept the use of its territory or airspace as a launching pad for attacks against neighbouring states.
He stressed that protecting Iraq’s sovereignty and maintaining the country’s relations with its regional surroundings are responsibilities of the state and its constitutional institutions.
The statement comes amid heightened regional tensions and concerns over the use of Iraqi territory and airspace in military operations involving neighbouring countries.
