Israel Middle East gaza Casualties Palestinians Gaza Health Ministry

Gaza Health Ministry says death toll since October 2023 has reached 73,377

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 4. Gaza's Ministry of Health says two Palestinians were killed and 10 others wounded in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours.

In its latest update, the ministry said that 1,252 people have been killed and 4,120 injured since the ceasefire with Israel took effect on October 11.

According to the ministry, the cumulative toll since the start of the war on October 7, 2023 has reached 73,377 people killed and 174,230 wounded.

The figures were released by Gaza's Health Ministry and have not been independently verified.

Israel has previously questioned casualty figures issued by the Hamas-run Health Ministry, while international organizations generally cite the ministry's data, noting that independent verification during the conflict is difficult.
