BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 27. Kuwait has strongly condemned the attempted drone attacks targeting oil facilities in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province and the capital, Riyadh, reaffirming its full support for the kingdom.
In a statement, Kuwait's Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the drone attacks, which Saudi authorities said were launched by Iran-backed militias in Iraq, as a "flagrant violation" of Saudi Arabia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The ministry said the attacks also constitute a violation of international law, the United Nations Charter, and UN Security Council Resolution 2817.
Kuwait reiterated its unwavering solidarity with Saudi Arabia, stressing that the kingdom's security is "an inseparable part" of Kuwait's own national security and that of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
The statement emphasized support for all measures taken by Saudi Arabia to safeguard its security, stability and critical infrastructure.
The condemnation comes amid heightened regional tensions following a series of drone and missile attacks targeting strategic facilities across the Gulf region.
