BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 22. Khalil al-Hayya, the newly elected leader of Hamas, delivered his first public statement since his appointment on Monday.
In his remarks, al-Hayya said:
“I say to the people of Gaza that we will continue working in every path and direction until we lift the harm and pain from you.”
“Defending the occupied West Bank is a responsibility.”
