BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 26. Singapore's Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) has strongly condemned the attack on the Singapore-flagged oil tanker Ever Lovely, which was struck by an unidentified projectile while transiting the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday.
TurkicWorld reports that in an official statement, the authority confirmed that the vessel has safely completed its passage through the Strait of Hormuz and has continued its scheduled voyage. It also stated that all 21 crew members on board are safe and unharmed.
The MPA described the incident as "unprovoked, unjustifiable, and a breach of international law," expressing deep concern over the attack on the commercial vessel.
The authority stressed that all actions affecting international shipping must fully comply with international law, particularly the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), and must not endanger the safety of seafarers or commercial vessels.
