BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 24. The Israeli military has said it carried out an attack targeting two Hezbollah fighters in the Ali al-Taher area in southern Lebanon.
TurkicWorld reports that in a statement, the army claimed the fighters were operating near what it described as Israel’s “security zone” and posed an “immediate threat” to Israeli soldiers stationed in the area.
It added that, following identification, Israeli air force and ground forces struck the targets in order to eliminate what it called an imminent danger.
The military said it would continue operations aimed at removing immediate threats, amid ongoing tensions and cross-border hostilities in southern Lebanon.
