BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 28. Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will arrive in Washington on Friday for an official meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, according to a statement released by Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry.
TurkicWorld reports that the two sides are expected to review bilateral relations and discuss a range of regional and international issues of mutual interest during the talks.
The Pakistani Foreign Ministry stated that the meeting will focus on strengthening diplomatic engagement between Islamabad and Washington, while also addressing evolving geopolitical developments affecting South Asia, the Middle East and broader international security dynamics.
The visit comes at a time when Pakistan and the United States are seeking to maintain strategic dialogue on economic cooperation, regional stability, counterterrorism and diplomatic coordination in response to growing global tensions.
Analysts note that the discussions may also touch on developments related to Afghanistan, Iran, regional security challenges and ongoing geopolitical competition involving major world powers.
