BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 25. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov, as Chairman of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), will hold the next meeting of the Council in Bishkek, Sagynbek Abdumutalip, head of the Foreign Policy Department reports.
The event will take place on November 26–27, 2025, in Bishkek and will be key event in the final stage of Kyrgyzstan's CSTO chairmanship, TurkicWorld reports via Kabar.
The meeting will be attended by the heads of state of the Organization's member states: President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, and President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
Following the meeting, it is planned to sign more than ten decisions aimed at further strengthening collective defense mechanisms, improving interaction between member states on security issues, and expanding military-political cooperation.
In 2026, the CSTO chairmanship will pass from the Kyrgyz Republic to the Russian Federation, which will ensure “continuity and further development of joint initiatives within the Organization,” noted Sagynbek Abdumutalip.
