Fidan speaks after trilateral meeting of Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan in Istanbul

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 31. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has addressed the media following a trilateral meeting of senior officials from Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan in Istanbul.

The meeting marked the first gathering of representatives from the three countries since the signing of the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement earlier this month.

The talks focused on regional security developments, defence cooperation and coordination between the three countries.

The trilateral format comes amid efforts by Ankara, Riyadh and Islamabad to strengthen strategic cooperation and expand coordination on regional issues.

The Mecca Joint Defence Agreement signed earlier this month aims to enhance military cooperation and coordination among Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
