Kyrgyzstan ratifies agreement on joint production of cars and commercial vehicles with Uzbekistan

Kabar. President Sadyr Zhaparov signed the Law "On ratification of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan on cooperation in organizing the production of automotive and commercial vehicles in the Kyrgyz Republic."

The document was signed on January 27, 2023 in Bishkek. The law was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh on March 15.

This Law was adopted in order to carry out domestic procedures necessary for the entry into force of the signed agreement. The ratification will make it possible to implement an investment project to organize the assembly production of passenger and commercial vehicles in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The implementation of the project will give impetus to the development of the automotive industry of the republic, increase the share of industry in GDP, upgrade the car fleet, create more than 2,000 new jobs, create new industries in terms of components for vehicles, which will positively affect the dynamics of the country's economy.
