On June 20, 2025, the President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Mrs. Aktoty Raimkulova, attended the international symposium titled “Azerbaijan and Türkiyein World Politics”, jointly organized by the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (ANAS) and the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA), held at the Scientific Library of ANAS, TurkicWorld reports.
In her speech, Mrs. Aktoty Raimkulova drew attention to the shared cultural values of Azerbaijan and Türkiye, their statehood traditions, and the strategic role both countries play in strengthening the unity of the Turkic World. She emphasized that the symposium serves not only as a scientific platform for discussion but also as a spiritual path toward shaping a common future. Raimkulova noted that the projects implemented by the Foundation contribute to the closer unification of Turkic peoples and provide the Turkic World with a voice in intercivilizational dialogue.
The opening ceremony was also attended by the President of ANAS, academician Mr. Isa Habibbeyli; the President of TÜBA, Professor Muzaffer Şeker; the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Birol Akgün; the President of the Association of Academies and Societies of Sciences in Asia (AASSA) and Chair of the TÜBA International Relations Task Force, Professor Ahmed Nuri Yurdusev.
The international symposium “Azerbaijan and Türkiyein World Politics” holds special significance not only in terms of scientific analysis of the strategic cooperation between the two brotherly countries on the global stage but also in strengthening the political unity of the Turkic World.
