BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 18. The German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ralf Horlemann has shared a post commemorating October 18—Azerbaijan's Independence Restoration Day—on his X page, TurkicWorld reports.
"I want to congratulate Azerbaijan on the anniversary of its independence," the publication said.
Today, Azerbaijan celebrates the Day of Restoration of Independence.
To recall, the nation's Supreme Council adopted the Constitutional Act "On the State Independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan" on October 18, 1991.
The constitutional act established the Republic of Azerbaijan as the successor to the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, referencing the Declaration of Independence from May 28, 1918, and the Declaration of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Restoration of the State Independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan" from August 30, 1991.
October 18, 2024, marks the 33rd anniversary of the restoration of independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
