MOSCOW, Russia, October 8. CIS countries have every opportunity to launch new major projects, said Russian President Vladimir Putin at a limited meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in Moscow, TurkicWorld reports.
He noted that joining forces within the CIS is the name of the game for Russia.
"The CIS countries are our closest neighbors and strategic partners. We are determined to strengthen cooperation," he said.
Putin underscored that today's CIS meeting is packed to the gills with a full plate of topics.
"We will pay much attention to economic issues and prospects for expanding trade. We have every opportunity to launch new major projects," the Russian president added.
