ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 11. Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in the capital of Turkmenistan on a working visit, TurkicWorld reports.
According to the information, the main purpose of the Russian President's visit is to participate in the international forum "Interconnection of Times and Civilizations – the Basis of Peace and Development."
The forum will bring together leaders of more than ten states, as well as representatives of such international organizations as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), the Turkic Council, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and UNESCO.
Assistant to Russian President Yuri Ushakov stated that Vladimir Putin will also hold a meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian as part of his visit. The leaders are expected to discuss topical issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as the situation in the Middle East.
