Azerbaijan's constitutional court to consider approval of parliamentary election results

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 20. The plenary session of the plenum of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan on special constitutional proceedings on the results of extraordinary election to the Azerbaijani Parliament was scheduled for September 21 at 15:00, the statement of press service of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan said, TurkicWorld reports.

To note, snap parliamentary election was held in Azerbaijan on September 1.

A total of 112,749 local observers were registered to monitor the elections. More than 65,000 of them were representatives of political parties. The number of registered international observers was 598 people, representing 51 organizations in 69 countries.

Out of 990 registered candidates in the parliamentary election, 305 are representatives of 25 political parties. Although 371 candidates are members of political parties, they were not nominated by the parties to which they belong. In total, 676 candidates have political party affiliation.
