BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 2. The State Duma of Russia has received a new impetus to enhance fruitful cooperation for further strengthening Russian-Azerbaijani relations following Russian President Vladimir Putin's state visit to Azerbaijan this August and the country's parliamentary election held on September 1, Russian MP Alla Polyakova told TurkicWorld
She noted that the friendship group of the Russian State Duma and the Parliament of Azerbaijan will further intensify its work after the formation of the new Azerbaijani parliament.
According to Polyakova, environmental issues, public service organizations, and large-scale event hosting are areas in which Azerbaijan has extensive expertise that Russian lawmakers might learn a lot from.
"We'll also discuss the development of tourism with colleagues from the future composition of the Azerbaijani parliament. I believe that Russian citizens can find visiting regions of Azerbaijan very interesting, just as Azerbaijani citizens might enjoy exploring regions of Russia. This is a very promising area, considering the developed logistics," she emphasized.
