Uzbekistan adopts new form of ballot papers for parliamentary elections

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 6. The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Uzbekistan has approved a new form of ballot papers for the elections of deputies to the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis (Parliament) of Uzbekistan, regional, district, and city councils of people's deputies, TurkicWorld reports.

According to the information, this became known during the regular meeting of the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan.

The agenda of the session considered the issue of approving the form, text, and description of ballots for elections.

Furthermore, it was noted at the meeting that the new ballots will save money for their printing up to at least 3 billion sums.

Moreover, the color of ballot papers for each type of election is determined differently, i.e., for the single-mandate constituency of the Legislative Chamber: light blue, for the unified constituency: light green, for voting for the election of deputies of the regional and Tashkent city councils of people's deputies: light yellow, and for voting for the election of deputies of the district and city councils of people's deputies: light gray.

Protocols on the results of vote counting will be published in the same order in proportion to the color of ballot papers.

To note, the elections of deputies of regional, city, and district councils, as well as members of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan are scheduled for October 27.

The Movement of Entrepreneurs and Business People - Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, Democratic Party of National Revival, Ecological Party of Uzbekistan, People's Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, and Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan "Adolat" will take part in the elections.
