BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 30. In commemoration of Türkiye’s Victory Day, Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Cahit Bagci, along with embassy representatives and several officials, visited the monument dedicated to Turkish soldiers in Baku, TurkicWorld reports.
The attendees paid their respects with a moment of silence, followed by the playing of the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Türkiye.
The Victory Day marks the triumph at Dumlupinar, which occurred on August 30, 1922, under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. This day is celebrated annually in Türkiye as Victory Day.
