Kazakhstan Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Aktoty Raimkulova

Under the auspices of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, the International Center for Turkic Culture and Heritage was opened at al-Farabi Kazakh National University

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 8.​ On April 7, 2025, within the framework of cooperation between the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation and al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the grand opening of the International Center for Turkic Culture and Heritage named after Academician A.T. Kaidar, a prominent Turkologist and scholar of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan, was held, TurkicWorld reports.

During the opening ceremony, the Rector of al-Farabi University, Mr. Zhanseit Tuimebayev, emphasized that one of the university’s priorities is building bridges between Turkic peoples and fostering strong connections. He expressed confidence that the Center, established within the Faculty of Philology, will play a significant role in achieving this goal.

The President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Mrs. Aktoty Raimkulova, highlighted the significance of developing not only cultural but also spiritual dimensions to strengthen friendship and unity across the Turkic world. She noted that the mission of nurturing “bright” youth for the prosperous future of the Turkic world lies with us.

Students at the Center will not only be able to conduct research on the rich cultural heritage and centuries-old history of the Turkic world but also participate in international projects. Furthermore, through academic mobility programs, scholars from around the globe will visit the Center to share their knowledge and experience. In addition, KazNU students will have opportunities for internships at foreign universities and will be provided with access to a rich library.
