In all periods of human society, there have been people who called people to spiritual purity, moral perfection, and human ideals and sacrificed themselves on this path. These people, who were called “Teacher” not only with their scientific-theoretical knowledge and pedagogical activities, but also with their personal examples, served moral progress. The lifestyle of these people, who train experts in every field of socio-economic and social life, has become socialized from individuality. Those who bore the title of true teachers were tenacious, tolerant in the most difficult periods of history, and put spiritual purity above all else. Therefore, every person throughout his life lives in his heart with gratitude and reverence the memory of a teacher, considering himself spiritually indebted to him.
The national leader of the Azerbaijani people, great leader Haydar Aliyev has always appreciated the teacher and confessed his respect and gratitude to his teachers. His views on the holders of this honorable profession are an invaluable legacy for the education of the younger generation and the significance of the status of this name in a globalized society. “For me, the title of teacher has always been the most sublime, the most honorable concept. Today I bow in front of the teacher, I express my respect and reverence to the teacher”, said the great leader, knowing that spirituality stands at the highest place in human society, and he paid special attention to the teacher's spiritual and moral perfection. He made serious demands in this regard, especially to secondary school teachers, and expressed his concern about the weakening of the teacher's reputation and the circumstances that could harm him.
Haydar Aliyev considered teachers to be the highest figure in his life, and in addition to his inner talent in his life, which had passed through many stages of the world, he also valued the knowledge and education they gave and the path they showed. It is the teacher who should inculcate in his students the ideology of statehood, patriotism, defend what is good, protect traditions, and educate individual integrity and moral purity in every member of the society.
