BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 10. OpenAI has launched ChatGPT for Financial Services, a version of its artificial intelligence platform designed specifically for investment bankers, equity researchers and other financial professionals.
The product combines OpenAI’s latest GPT-6 Astra model with integrated data from providers including LSEG, PitchBook and Daloopa, allowing financial professionals to conduct research and analyse information across multiple sources.
OpenAI developed the product with Morgan Stanley and Evercore as design partners to help shape its capabilities and workflow for the financial services industry.
The launch comes as AI companies increasingly develop specialised products for regulated sectors where data governance, security and compliance are critical requirements.
ChatGPT for Financial Services builds on the security controls available through ChatGPT Enterprise, including role-based access and encryption. It also enables compliance teams to export workspace logs for use in audit workflows.
According to OpenAI, GPT-6 Astra has been developed to improve retrieval across financial data tools, financial reasoning and the accuracy of generated content.
Users can conduct research across multiple data sources, build financial models and prepare client materials such as pitchbooks using their firms’ own templates.
The launch reflects a broader effort to bring advanced AI capabilities into professional environments where specialised data, security requirements and established workflows are essential.
