Saudi Arabia Yemen Houthis Middle East tensions Ansar Allah Yahya Saree Sanaa Airport

Houthis declare ‘full readiness for all options’

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 20, The military spokesman of Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement (Houthis), Yahya Saree, has said that the blockade of Sanaa International Airport is unacceptable and announced that the group is prepared for all possible scenarios.

VOA reports that Saree described the ongoing restrictions on Sanaa airport as “unacceptable and intolerable.” He said the group would respond to a blockade with a blockade and match any escalation with a similar response.

The Houthi spokesman accused Saudi Arabia of carrying out strikes on Sanaa airport last week. According to the group’s claims, the attacks were followed by a retaliatory strike targeting Abha International Airport in Saudi Arabia.

Saree said Yemen’s armed forces are “fully prepared for all options” and have the ability to respond to any actions taken by Saudi Arabia.

He called on the Yemeni people to continue general mobilization, remain prepared for all scenarios and developments, and support military fronts.

The statement comes amid renewed tensions between Saudi Arabia and the Houthi movement in Yemen. Saudi authorities have not issued a new response to the accusations.
