Presentation of Elchin Ahmadov’s book “Shusha – Historical and Cultural Heritage” held in Baku

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 8. Within the framework of the 11th International Baku Book Fair at the Baku Expo Center, the presentation ceremony of the book “Shusha – Historical and Cultural Heritage” by Elchin Ahmadov, published by the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, was held, TurkicWorld reports.

At the opening of the event, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Mrs. Aktoty Raimkulova, evaluated the publication of the book as an important cultural event, noting that the city of Shusha is a sacred place not only for the Azerbaijani people but for the entire Turkic world. She underlined that this publishing project implemented by the Foundation serves to promote at the international level the rich history, cultural heritage, and role of ancient Shusha in world civilization.

The ceremony also featured speeches by the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Sabina Aliyeva, Member of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Hikmat Babaoğlu, and television journalist, director, Honored Artist Rafiq Hashimov, who highly valued the publication of the book. They emphasized that the release of the work is of great significance not only in terms of studying Shusha’s historical and cultural heritage but also for conveying this heritage to future generations and promoting it internationally.

Finally, the author of the book, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Elchin Ahmadov, spoke about the writing process of “Shusha – Historical and Cultural Heritage”, the scientific sources used in the research, and the coverage of significant aspects in the history of Shusha. Professor Ahmadov expressed his gratitude to the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation for its support in the publication of the book.

At the end of the ceremony, copies of “Shusha – Historical and Cultural Heritage” were presented to the guests, and a commemorative photo was taken.
