BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 19. Water Resources Service has developed an automated information system "Unified Water Information System", TurkicWorld reports via Kabar, cites Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of Kyrgyzstan.
The system will connect irrigation facilities and water users into a single digital database. This will allow for planning irrigation water supply, accounting for consumption and monitoring water quality.
The platform integrates geoinformation technologies (GIS), which provide data on surface water resources, irrigation systems, water management structures and irrigated lands, taking into account cultivated crops.
The "Unified Water Information System" will be fully operational in early 2026. Later, it will be upgraded in stages, state services will be automated, and digital services will be opened for water users.
