BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, October 16. The state budget of Kyrgyzstan is set to hit the ground running, with total revenue, including grants and government investments, projected to soar to 428.780 billion soms ($5.03 billion) in 2025, making up 26.4 percent of the GDP, TurkicWorld reports.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has thrown the relevant draft of the republican budget for 2025 into the ring, along with plans for 2026 and 2027, ready for a good old chinwag in Parliament.
The revenue of the state budget is set to increase by 13.3 percent, or by 50.375 billion soms ($591 million), compared to the approved budget for 2024.
The draft proposes that during the period of 2026–2027, the revenues of the republican budget will amount to 465.5 billion soms ($5.4 billion) and 513.640 billion soms ($6 billion), respectively.
For 2024, the revenue target for the republican budget of Kyrgyzstan is established at 378.405 billion soms ($4.4 billion).
For 2023, the total revenue of the state budget amounted to 357.7 billion soms ($4.1 billion), exceeding the plan by 1.4 percent.
