BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, October 10. The volume of cargo transportation by all modes of transport in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 32.7 million tons from January through August 2024,TurkicWorld reports.
The country's National Statistics Committee's data shows that this is a growth of 2.6 million tons or 8.5 percent, compared to the same period in 2023.
At the same time, cargo turnover for the preceding period increased by 0.5 million tons or 11.8 percent, and compared to the previous month, their volume practically did not change.
Out of the total volume of cargo transportation:
- by road transport – 27.048 million tons;
- by railway transport - 5.466 million tons;
- by pipelines - 250.200 tons;
- by air transport - 12.900 tons.
To note, the volume of cargo turnover across all transport modes during the reporting period reached 1.870 billion ton-kilometers, reflecting a 4.4 percent increase compared to the same period in the previous year.
